1. Overview

Brainwave Biohacking® (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a brainwave entrainment and AI coaching application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your name and email address, collected when you start a trial or redeem an access code.
Payment information: card details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Usage data: the brainwave modes you select, session durations, completion status, streaks, guided meditation scripts you generate, and journal entries you submit to the AI Coach.
Technical data: device type, browser, and approximate location derived from your IP address, collected automatically when you use the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and subscription.
To generate personalized entrainment plans and AI Coach responses.
To track your progress, including sessions, streaks, and journal history, and display it in your dashboard.
To process payments and prevent fraud.
To send service-related emails, such as trial reminders and receipts.
To improve the Service, fix bugs, and develop new features.

4. AI Coach and Journal Entries

When you submit a journal entry or intake answers to the AI Coach, that text is sent to our third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a personalized response. We do not use your journal entries to train external models. Entries are stored with your account so you can review your history, and you can request deletion at any time.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us operate: Stripe (payments), our AI provider (coach responses), and our CRM platform (contact and progress records). These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, we retain aggregated, de-identified analytics indefinitely and delete personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by contacting us at support@brainwavebiohacking.com. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the account management portal linked in the app.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

The Service uses browser local storage to remember your trial status, session history, and preferences between visits. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Not a Medical Device

The Service is a wellness and productivity tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Consult a physician for sleep, neurological, or mental health concerns.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in the app and, where appropriate, emailed to you. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
